EVANS' GALLERY - FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY and SPECIALTY ARTISAN WARE

  James Evans has been photographing the people and landscapes of the Big Bend and across its border since 1988.  Big Bend Pictures (2003 in its 3rd printing) and Crazy from the Heat (2011) signed copies are for sale in the gallery.  His work can be found in major museums and private collections.

KLEPPER GALLERY - FINE ART

  E. Dan Klepper is an artist, writer and photographer based in west Texas. His work has been featured in numerous books and magazines, including “In Sight,” the online photography magazine for The Washington Post. Klepper’s art, exhibited at his Marathon studio Klepper Gallery, can be found in collections across the state.

CAROL TOWNSEND PHOTOGRAPHY

Carol Townsend studied photography at Cambridge Community College in Cambridge, MN. Since moving to Marathon in 1995 she has had many photographs featured in the Big Bend Travel Guide, the Cenizo, and on postcards for the Marathon Chamber of Commerce. Local images and postcards are displayed at the Cactus Flower gift shop on Main Street in Marathon.

MAISIE LEE HAND-CARVED WOODEN DOORS

Maise Lee's beautiful carved doors can be seen throughout Marathon.   Marathon Catholic and Methodist churches, as well as Eve's Garden Bed and Breakfast, showcase Maisie's work.  Maisie authored a book about her life and adventures in the Big Bend dating back to her arrival here in the 1940's.
